Tonight is the first full moon of 2025 and as the full moon rises tonight, it brings a powerful energy of culmination and clarity.
Now is the perfect time to reflect, release, and set positive intentions for the path ahead.
To give us a starting point for our own intention setting, we’ve chosen a key saying for each new and full moon of the year. Today that saying is, “Illuminate your inner faith.” Think on this and let it serve as a guiding light for this transformative moment.
Reflect
You’re going to begin your reflection in the same way as you would any meditation or contemplation session, create a sacred space, whether that’s a quiet corner of your home, a spot under the open sky, or a serene place in nature. Light a candle or incense to symbolize illumination, and take a moment to ground yourself with a few deep breaths. As you breathe, visualize the moonlight surrounding you, filling you with calm and clarity.
Look up at the sky and imagine the full moon’s glow is a mirror. Stare into it and see yourself looking back. Close your eyes and let your mind wander, letting it highlight areas where you may have been holding back or doubting yourself. Embrace the authenticity of who you are. Your inner faith. That deep belief in your worth and potential, is the cornerstone of positive transformation. Trust that you have everything you need within you to thrive.
Release
When all this is clear in your mind, write down what no longer serves you. This could be fear, self-doubt, old patterns, or external influences that weigh you down. Acknowledge these energies and thank them for their lessons. Then, release them by safely burning or tearing up the paper, symbolizing your willingness to let go.
Move Forward
Now let’s shift focus to setting positive intentions, primarily for the month to come, but generally for the year ahead. This month should be easy for you to think of as no doubt new year’s resolutions have been talked about in your social circle. Your intention doesn’t have to be typical though, you don’t have to commit to weight or fitness goals. Perhaps you’re looking for confidence, deeper connections, or a renewed sense of purpose. There are no wrong answers here, and no pressure to achieve everything right away.
As you write your intentions, speak them aloud and with conviction. You need to believe in yourself for the universe to, so let the words resonate as a declaration of your inner faith and commitment to growth.
Try to remember that faith is not about having all the answers; it’s about trusting the journey and your ability to navigate it. It’s fine for your beliefs to change as you learn and experience new things.
Each step forward, no matter how small, is a testament to your resilience and strength. We are both committed to the 1% rule, (if you want to learn more about this check out Tommy Baker’s book) and reward ourselves for each 1% improvement we make, it all adds up.
Allow the moonlight to inspire and energize you, shining a light on the possibilities that lie ahead.
As the evening closes, take a moment to express gratitude for this sacred time and the clarity it has brought and then do something relaxing like taking a bath or enjoying some music to finish off your night.
Be kind to yourself and see you in our next post.
